The 8th Annual Journey Walk/Run for Remembrance will be held on June 8th, 2008 at the George Preston Recreation Centre (20699 42nd Avenue). BRIGADE DAYS
It was August 2nd, 1858 when the British Parliament passed an Act to establish the Colony of British Columbia. More than three months later the new governor came to Fort Langley to officially proclaim the Act and BC was born. Live historic dramatizations will be taking place each day. Guides and volunteers in traditional garb will demonstrate and reveal a way of life that was coming to an end as the new colony was beginning. The event runs all weekend 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, with the traditional canoe brigade arrival at the waterfront on Sunday, August 4th at 1:00 pm. LANGLEY GOOD TIMES CRUISE-IN
The Langley Good Times Cruise-In started in 1997 with a small group of merchants and business people from the City of Langley. The event has grown from 430 vehicles registered in 1997 to over 1600 registered vehicles in 2006. The Cruise-In has become one of the largest mixed car shows in Canada and one of the Top 10 in North America. SPIRIT OF THE HORSE MEMORIAL GARDEN 2008 FUNDRAISER
The Spirit Garden in Campbell Valley Park is now being recognized from all around the world with over 300 memorial plaques remembering and consoling those who have loved and lost their beloved horses.
